Eva, a graduating student, is in danger of failing her subject under the strict and intimidating Mr. Dumlao. With her scholarship and future on the line, she desperately pleads for another chance. Mr. Dumlao offers her “special projects” outside regular classwork to make up for her poor grades — tasks that seem easy at first but slowly become questionable in motive. When Eva passes, her classmates Kate and Katrina — also on the brink of failing — approach her for help. Eva, believing she’s found a “shortcut,” brings them to Mr. Dumlao, who gives them the same unusual extra assignments. At first, the girls are relieved to see their grades improve, but they start noticing inconsistencies, secrecy, and favoritism. A month later, strange rumors spread. Katrina and Kate discover that Mr. Dumlao has been giving many students the same suspicious “special treatment” in exchange for passing marks. Determined to expose him, the girls secretly record conversations and collect proof. The truth finally explodes when the school principal, armed with evidence from the students, confronts Mr. Dumlao in his classroom. His denials crumble under the weight of the proof. Stripped of his license and position, he leaves the school in disgrace, while the students reclaim their dignity — realizing that taking shortcuts often comes with dangerous consequences.
